The bar is going to be on TV!!!!
The Travel Channel started a new show called "Food Wars". It's basically a fun competition between two places that serve a comparable signature dish. It's still pretty new, but, it's a decent show.
"Our" bar (Miles Inn) is going against another local place called "Tastees" and our "Charlie Boy" sandwich is competing against their "Tastee" sandwich. (Both sandwiches are a loose meat typed sandwich....kind of like a Sloppy Joe without the tomato sauce base.)
Filming was supposed to start this Thursday, but there was a death in the "Tastee" family so filming has been postponed until sometime next month. Win or lose, it's good publicity for the bar, so, yay!!!

ReplyDeleteLoose meat sandwich? Is this a competition like in Roseanne when the new restaurant across the street opened up and served a loose meat sandwich that kicked 'The Lunch Box' restaurant's loose meat sandwich's ass??? Do you guys at least have a SALAD BAR???
