Job Offer

Well, Brett received a job offer from the interview he had the other day.

While we're so happy....he's still not sure if he's going to take it or not. It's 100% commission, and 1099'd - which means we'd have to pay taxes out of our pocket each year, AND there isn't any insurance. AND if it doesn't work (the only way, right now, that it wouldn't work is if he was unable to make any type of livable salary) he'd have quit the job and we don't think he'd then be eligible for unemployment.

All very scary things. The taxes don't scare me as much as the other things. What if it takes me forever to find a job with insurance? What if the pay doesn't come as they say it will? Brett has always said he didn't want a 100% commission job. And had he known this was paid by commission, he'd never have even applied for it.

But, now we're staring a job offer in the face. What if this is the only one that comes along? It's hard to say no to something, but, also hard to say yes to something so risky. I kind of think he should take it and just see what happens. Maybe it'll work really well for us. At the very least, it'd get him out of the house, which is very much needed right now. And frankly, isn't any money better than nothing?

And maybe not. Decisions, decisions......
